The universe is a vast place. Unimaginably so. And while the echos of the ancient past still ripple through the Cosmos, it is the children of that past that will define it’s future.

None more so than a one Xel Lovestar, intrepid adventurer and notable outlaw. He has spent the last nine centuries as a fugitive from the law, and now, pardoned by Interstar, (the Pan-galactic police network), he is trying to enjoy his so called retirement.

But as always, life is not so kind to Mr. Lovestar. There are still more than three dozen private bounties of his head, and with his newfound reputation as a gun for the people he is often approached on behalf of downtrodden or oppressed planets. Not to mention how many of his old enemies still roam the Cosmos. Further still, the threat of the Ophidian Empire still looms darkly over the known Galaxy.

What does the universe have in store for him next?

The Cosmos” is by far my largest and most thought about dynamic universe. I say Dynamic because it’s nature is always changing, adding to itself with every iteration. In addition, it’s space and history are not entirely consistent. Huge holes in space, invisible to the naked eye, open into nearby multiverses. Adventure abounds around every corner.

The basic premise is that you can be almost anything. The sheer variety of alien life in the universe is unimaginable, and Xel has met almost all of them. Most species are moderately humanoid, with a good handful of exceptions. The beauty of this is that on top of my list of existing species, you can pretty much be anything you want.

With a few exceptions:

1. No Gods
I have a short-list of gods for this dimension because too many gods ruins the stew. New gods that invade this dimension are usually dealt with by Demento.

2. No long-lost family members
Xel has a specific group of siblings, and no family beyond that. In actuality, this is a part of a larger story line that I have already written, and his siblings play a very important role in his arc. As such, I’m gonna go ahead and say no “related to Xel” characters.

Also, for record’s sake, he has a daughter. And no, you can’t be her either.

3. “Earth is gone. Only we remain.”
Earth, also known as E-Terra, is gone. It was destroyed in a cataclysmic quantum event that eradicated the planet and it’s occupants. The only thing that’s left are various artifacts and Xel and his siblings. As such, anything that is of earth has to be approved on a per case basis.

Weapons are okay though. E-Terra was popular for it’s projectile weapons market.

Beyond that, go crazy. No matter how amazing or unbelievable, bring on your best or favorite space-faring type. Trust me, you won’t be able to surprise me. If something is really excessive, I’ll make an alternative suggestion, but most things should work.

The only real rule I have in terms of interaction is that I do not like when other people write lines or actions directly for my characters. I know it seems a bit odd of a thing to mention, but I’m pretty insistent about this. My characters are precious to me, as I’ve been developing them for almost a decade and a half. I can’t imagine anyone but myself could know what they would do or feel.

If you have any questions, go ahead and post them here. I’ll go ahead and create a Character sheet thread and get the set up posted. I’m curious to see if anyone is interested.

As a note, Xel is ALWAYS written in first person perspective. Feel free to write however you are comfortable.

I will, of course be using Xel Lovestar

Question~
What exactly is an E-terran solar cycle?
(It's a 50/50 on whether or not I feel I should already know this)

There are probably other questions I have, but I cannot think of any at this time so I'll ask as they come I suppose.

E-Terra is what they started calling Earth after it's inclusion into the galactic community.

An E-terran solar cycle is a standard earth year. Sorry, it's cause it's a Sci-Fi and I wanted to sound technical.

I knew there was a good reason I felt I should have known without questioning.
